Hillyard Heritage Museum
The Hillyard Heritage Museum in Spokane, Washington, is a community-driven initiative dedicated to preserving the rich railroad and local history of the Hillyard neighborhood. Established in 1995 and operated by the Hillyard Heritage Museum Society since 2004, the museum is situated at 3202 East Queen Avenue, near the historic Great Northern Railroad yards
The museum features a collection of vintage railroad cars, including a caboose, boxcars, and a 1942 Pullman sleeper car.These cars house exhibits showcasing tools, photographs, and memorabilia from Hillyard's railroad era. Notably, the museum also possesses a 1959 Pirsch fire engine, reflecting the neighborhood's firefighting history .
