Comedy for a Cause: Out of the Mouths of Babes
Northeast Youth Center presents Comedy for a Cause: Out of the Mouths of Babes, a 14+ benefit event supporting programs that help Spokane children learn, grow, and thrive. Join us on September 26th, 2026, from 4–7 PM at the Hill House Event Center for an evening of laughter inspired by the hilarious, unfiltered things kids say.
This special fundraiser blends comedy, community, and purpose — and we’re adding delicious touches to make the night even better. Guests will enjoy appetizer‑style hors d’oeuvres, and each ticket includes one complimentary drink (wine, beer, or a non‑alcoholic option). Additional wine and beer will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
The event will also feature a paddle raise, giving attendees a chance to directly support the programs that make a difference for local youth. Plus, select guests and sponsors are invited to a VIP meet‑and‑greet with the Executive Director from 3:00–3:45 PM before the main event.
Every ticket, table, and sponsorship directly supports safe, enriching, and empowering opportunities for Spokane’s kids. Individual tickets, discounted tables for groups of eight, and sponsorship opportunities are available for community members and businesses who want to be part of the fun.

Inspire. Grow. Create. A Quarterly Photographer Drop-In
Once a quarter, Crystal Madsen’s studio turns into a creative drop-in space where photographers can show up, shoot a paid model, and make work that actually feels like them. You’ll leave with portfolio images, new ideas, and that jolt of inspiration that reminds you why you picked up a camera in the first place.
The Enchanted Garden Glow
The Enchanted Garden Glow will transform the nursery at The Eclectic Cottage into a glowing autumn garden for one magical evening. Come stroll lantern-lit pathways surrounded by carved jack-o’-lanterns, tiny sparkling lights and drifting fog, then vote for your favorite pumpkins, enjoy some cider, grab something delicious from John’s Dawg House, and spend an autumn evening at the Cottage.
Community members are invited to help light the garden by bringing a carved pumpkin to be included in the display. One general-entry winner will be chosen by the community during the event and will take home a beautifully curated prize basket. Children’s entries will be judged separately, and every child who enters a carved pumpkin will receive a treat bag.

Hillyard Bash
A Hillyard community fundraising event including our 3rd annual Hillyard Built Cornhole Tournament, food vendors, family fun, games and more!
28th Annual Chalk Art Walk
Join us for a free community event! Register at the Hillyard Heritage Museum Park (corner of Queen and Market) the morning of the event and receive a plot on the sidewalk to decorate with chalk following a theme. All supplies provided.
Art will be blind judged at the end of the event with prizes awarded in a variety of categories!
There will also be activities happening at the park, and great restaurants and shops to check out along Market St. if you finish early.

The ZONE’s Annual Back to School with an added Literacy Fair! Executive Women International will run literacy activities as well as the WA Association for Career and Technical Education who is providing free books for students to take home.
