Kismet
Kismet is a locally owned, Latin-inspired restaurant nestled in Spokane’s historic Hillyard neighborhood. Opened in September 2021 by chef Daniel Gonzalez and hospitality veteran Monica York, the restaurant blends Gonzalez’s Mexican and Spanish heritage with his classical French and Italian culinary training. The menu features inventive dishes like duck confit carnitas tacos, arepas con cerdo, and housemade mole, all served in a vibrant, mural-adorned space with a welcoming, community-focused vibe. Kismet was honored as the Inlander’s Best New Restaurant in 2022.
